Soapmaking supplies may be shipped throughout the USA and territories, or they may be picked up at the Soapmaking Studio during any scheduled class (check the schedule), or they may be picked up at the Certified Farmers' Market in La Mesa every Friday from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. Select either USPS "Priority" shipping or free "Pickup" during checkout. Please let us know where and when you intend to pick up your supplies so we can have them ready for you. Base Oils	Price
A "gallon" container of oil weighs 7.5 pounds and will make approximately 8.5 pounds of soap, which is about 35 bars. The exact KOH and NaOH saponification values are printed on the container and vary by oil type and lot number.
Traditional Blend: 50% olive (Olea europaea) oil 30% palm (Elaeis guineensis) oil 20% coconut (Cocos nucifera) oil Fast and easy pre-mixed oil blend for safely making soap without excessive math calculations. The Traditional Blend makes a nice hard bar of soap with a quick, stable lather. 120 ounces (7.5-pound "gallon").	$35.00
Artistic Blend: 68% olive (Olea europaea) oil 15% palm (Elaeis guineensis) oil 15% coconut (Cocos nucifera) oil 2% castor (Ricinus communis) oil Fast and easy pre-mixed oil blend for safely making soap without excessive math calculations. The Artistic Blend traces (thickens) slowly to allow the soapmaker time to create swirls of color or column-poured soap. 120 ounces (7.5-pound "gallon").	$38.00
Coconut (Cocos nucifera) Oil This food-grade oil is extracted from the fruit pulp of the Coconut Palm. It is a cholesterol-free saturated fat (primarily lauric fatty acid, C12) and is solid below 76°F. Refined, bleached, and deodorized for truer soap colors and scents. 120 ounces (7.5-pound "gallon").	$35.00
Jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis) Oil Jojoba oil is extracted from the seeds of the jojoba plant. It is actually a liquid wax, which is rich in the same waxy esters as those found in the sebum of human skin. It contains no triglycerides. It is cold pressed without the use of chemical solvents and retains its natural golden color because it has not been bleached or refined. 90 ounces (3.7-pound "½ gallon").	$89.00
Palm (Elaeis guineensis) Oil This food-grade oil is extracted from the fruit pulp of the American Oil Palm. It is a cholesterol-free saturated fat (primarily palmitic fatty acid, C16) and is solid below 92°F. Palm Kernel (Elaeis guineensis) Oil This food-grade oil is extracted from the seed kernel of the American Oil Palm. It is a cholesterol-free saturated fat (primarily lauric fatty acid, C12) and is solid below 80°F. Shea Butter (Butyrospermum parkii) Oil This food-grade oil is extracted from the nut of the African Shea Tree.
